Cupcakes are fast becoming a growing trend in weddings, bridal showers, and birthday parties as a cute little addition to your sweet table or an alternative to a traditional cake. These adorable little bite-sized treats are irresistible and always the #1 crowd-pleaser, because who doesn’t LOVE cupcakes?! Below is a short and simple tutorial on how to make your cupcakes the star of the show, along with a free template.
Materials Needed:
Cupcakes
Pencil
Scissors
Decorative scissors (optional)
Scrapbooking Paper (to match your theme)
Double-sided tape or Glue Stick
Cupcake Template (below)
Step 1: Print out the free template here (page scale: none when printing).
Step 2: Cut your template out using the black lines as a guide. Place this template onto the back side (wrong-side) of your scrapbooking paper and using a pencil, trace the template as many times as you can and cut them out.
Step 3 (decorative scissor option) If you have opted to use decorative scissors to add a little more flare to your wrapper, then cut along the top portion of the cupcake wrapper (make sure you are only cutting the longest arched side and NOT the sides or bottom).
Step 4: Use your double-sided tape or glue stick to fasten at the overlap and place your cupcake inside the secured wrapper. If you need to trim the bottom a little to make it even, feel free.
Step 5: Embellish with cupcake toppers, rhinestones, lace, flowers or whatever you decide to use.
